Nestlé has invested 26m Swiss francs (200m Egyptian pounds) to extend its ice cream factory in Egypt.

In its new Packaged Foods Market in Saudi Arabia 2012–16 report, Research and Markets estimates that the sector will grow over the period at an average of 8.95% each year.
