Napco National to Exhibit Innovative Packaging Brands at Gulfood Manufacturing 2017

Saudi Arabia-based Napco National returns to Gulfood Manufacturing 2017 to display its wide range of food and beverage packaging, including specialty brands and sustainable packaging products.

According to Sarkis Dagher, Vice President – Market Development, “We’re designing smaller pack sizes to directly meet health concerns for portion control.  Many people buy on-the-go products, like confectionery, beverages, and ice cream. On the other hand, families and price-conscious shoppers need larger pack sizes. While we’re designing packaging, we’re putting sustainability at the forefront, by trying to use fewer raw materials and to generate less waste.”

Among the brands that Napco National will showcase at Gulfood Manufacturing are the Glass Clear® thermoforming barrier films, Aqua-peel® peel lidding and the SW® shrink wrap film.

The Glass Clear® thermoforming barrier films comply with European and American standards for food-safe film. Date fruit packers and processed meat and cheese manufacturers use Glass Clear thermoforming barrier films to preserve the taste and to extend shelf life of their products.

Aqua-peel® Peel Lidding offers the strongest barrier to light, moisture, oxygen and aroma, as well as high resistance to corrosion, water, and oil will also be showcased.

For industrial applications, clear or printed SW Shrink Wrap offers protection against UV exposure, pallet stability during shipping and transport, and safe and secure storage of products.

Napco National’s eight manufacturing operations in Dammam and Jeddah develop, design, and produce plastic, paper, corrugated, and aluminium peel packaging solutions. Saudi Arabia today comprises 70% of the GCC’s packaging market, according to Packaging Middle East & Africa, with the sector shifting from metal and glass to flexible packaging, alongside solid packaging.

Attuned to demographic and lifestyle changes in the Middle East and North Africa, Napco National concentrates heavily on the functionality of packaging as part of its innovation process. The company’s plants partner with food and beverage manufacturers to develop or redesign pack type, pack shape, pack size, and weight to meet consumer demand.

Napco National will exhibit at Hall 3, Booth #A3-20 from 31 October to 2 November at Dubai World Trade Center in the UAE.
