LuLu Group has inaugurated its 24th outlet in Qatar at North Plaza Mall, Umm Al Amad, with a strong focus on sustainability and customer convenience. The store was officially opened on October 13, 2024, by prominent Qatari businessman Sheikh Faysal Khalifa Sultan Al-Thani, in the presence of dignitaries including the Indian Ambassador to Qatar, H.E. Vipul, and LuLu Group Chairman and Managing Director, Yusuff Ali M.A.
The new hypermarket spans 25,000 square feet and introduces several eco-conscious initiatives, including a Zero-Waste Refill Station, enabling shoppers to use reusable containers for dry goods. It also features the ‘Planet-Y’ section for plant-based alternatives, a reverse vending machine for plastic recycling, and green checkout counters.
“It is with immense pride and gratitude that I stand before you today to inaugurate our newest Lulu Hypermarket,” said Yusuff Ali. “This store is a testament to our dedication to providing world-class shopping while supporting sustainability in Qatar.”
H.E. Vipul praised the initiative, stating: “It fills me with great pride to see an Indian entrepreneur achieving such remarkable success here in the Gulf, particularly in Qatar.”

The outlet also offers self-checkout options, vegan and organic sections, and a comprehensive fresh market.
