The Egyptian Export Council for Printing, Packaging, Paper, Literary and Artistic Works has announced that the sector’s exports from January to June 2022 rose by 37 percent to hit $614.6 million, in comparison to $449.4 million in the same period of 2021.
In its monthly report, the council said that exports of packaging rose by 30 percent to reach $363.9 million against $280.1 million in the same period of last year.
According to reports, paper exports went up by 30 percent to $232.5 million against $142.3 million in the corresponding period last year.
Exports of flexible packaging films increased by 31 percent to $223.8 million in the first half of 2022 against $171.3 million in the same period last year.
