Amcor has announced a major expansion of its printing, lamination and converting capabilities in North America to support growing demand for flexible packaging in the protein market. The investment, described as one of the company’s largest to date, focuses on the meat, poultry and seafood sectors, where Amcor has an established presence.
The rollout of new equipment is expected to increase production from now through the first half of 2026. According to the company, the added capacity will improve customer service across forming and non-forming packaging categories by expanding and optimising its manufacturing network. The upgrades will also support customers transitioning to more sustainable packaging formats, including Amcor’s AmPrima portfolio of recycle-ready materials.
“This investment reflects Amcor’s long-term strategy for growth in the protein market and our continued leadership in developing the next generation of high-performance and sustainable packaging,” said Scott Fallon, global vice president and general manager of Amcor Flexibles protein division. “By investing in our capacity and strengthening our network, we’re empowering our customers to grow with confidence, meet evolving market demands and lead the transition toward a more innovative and responsible future for protein packaging.”
Amcor added that the expansion underlines its commitment to enhancing capabilities, leveraging new technologies and supporting customers with technical expertise.
“We’re proud to serve as a trusted growth partner for our protein customers, helping them navigate dynamic market challenges and providing innovative, high-performance solutions that support their growth today and into the future,” Fallon said.
