The Authentication Solution Providers’ Association (ASPA) successfully hosted its MEA Open House 2025 at Anantara Downtown Dubai, bringing together 46 delegates from 17 companies specializing in authentication, packaging, and brand protection. Moderated by packaging and sustainability expert Mr. Kaunain Shahidi, the event centered on fostering collaboration across the Middle East and Africa to combat the rising threat of counterfeiting. ASPA President Mr. Manoj Kochar opened the event by highlighting the association’s mission and the increasing demand for effective authentication and traceability solutions.

ASPA MEA Chairperson Mr. Ranesh Bajaj underlined the need for a coordinated regional response. Addressing the difficulties faced by both brand owners and solution providers, he proposed forming a Dubai-based “Action Group” to spearhead ASPA initiatives in the MEA region. “We need to unite our strengths to counter the growing threats of counterfeiting,” Mr. Bajaj stated.
Six companies expressed interest in joining this proposed coalition.
Industry engagement was strong throughout the event. Eleven companies indicated their intention to become ASPA members, signaling a rising commitment to shared standards and innovation in brand protection. “The overwhelming response to the MEA Open House underscores the growing commitment among industry leaders to build a future rooted in authenticity and trust,” said Mr. Kochar.
“At ASPA, we are proud to have created a dynamic platform that not only raises critical awareness but also forges actionable partnerships.”
The formal proceedings closed with a vote of thanks by ASPA Vice President Mr. Ankit Gupta, followed by a networking dinner that facilitated deeper discussions on securing supply chains and implementing cutting-edge technologies.
The MEA Open House reaffirmed ASPA’s dual focus: expanding its global outreach while addressing region-specific challenges.
