Bekum Supplies Advanced Blow Moulding System to Takween in Saudi Arabia

Factory Acceptance Test completed for Bekum’s XBLOW 100 bound for Takween’s Saudi facility.

German machinery manufacturer Bekum Maschinenfabriken GmbH has completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for its XBLOW 100 extrusion blow moulding machine, scheduled for installation at Saudi Arabia-based Takween Advanced Industries.

The machine will be used to produce 220-liter L-Ring drums, commonly utilized in chemical and industrial packaging. According to Bekum’s official LinkedIn announcement, the XBLOW 100 includes robotic handling, an integrated punching unit, post-cooling, as well as leak and weight testing systems.

“These features aim to ensure precision, efficiency, and consistent product quality throughout the manufacturing process,” Bekum noted.

The FAT, conducted to verify performance and specifications prior to shipment, marks a key milestone in the collaboration between Bekum and Takween. The installation reflects a growing emphasis on automation and manufacturing upgrades within Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector.

Once operational, the new system is expected to enhance Takween’s production capacity for heavy-duty industrial containers, reinforcing its role in the region’s bulk packaging supply chain.

The equipment aligns with industry demands for high-performance, reliable packaging solutions capable of handling hazardous and high-volume liquids.
