DS Smith has retained its Platinum rating from EcoVadis, a global sustainability assessment platform, marking continued recognition for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance. The company’s overall score has increased from 83 to 88 out of 100, placing it within the top 1% of all companies evaluated worldwide.
EcoVadis assesses companies based on environmental, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement criteria. The Platinum rating is the highest possible ranking, reflecting DS Smith’s performance across these areas.
The company attributes this achievement to its consistent efforts in minimizing environmental impact and enhancing sustainability practices throughout its operations and supply chain. The score improvement follows a series of internal initiatives aimed at aligning with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.
According to DS Smith, the result is a reflection of “the collective commitment of our teams to continue to manage the CSR risks and ESG compliance of our value chain.”
The EcoVadis rating system is used by global procurement teams to evaluate supplier sustainability. DS Smith’s recognition signals strong performance in areas increasingly prioritized by business partners and stakeholders.
This marks another milestone in the company’s ongoing strategy to integrate responsible business practices as a key component of its corporate structure.
