ElitePlus++ hosts world’s largest flexible packaging summit in Mumbai

ElitePlus++ Business Services successfully hosted the 12th Speciality Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit & Exhibition 2025 on 3–4 September at the Reliance Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. Backed by the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Government of India, the event reinforced its position as the world’s largest platform dedicated to films and flexible packaging.
ElitePlus++, known for creating specialised industry platforms, brought together over 2,200 delegates from 26 countries and 800 organisations, including leaders in flexible and rigid packaging, recycling, raw materials, automation, policy, and brand ownership. This year saw strong brand owner participation and marked a shift in strategic packaging dialogue.
India’s evolving packaging market was a central theme, with emphasis on its role as a high-growth region for flexible packaging and alignment with the government’s Make in India initiative. Discussions covered regulations promoting Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), increased recycled content, and advanced recycling.
A key feature of this year’s edition was the integration of rigid and flexible packaging sectors, reflecting new multi-format strategies in use by global brands.
ElitePlus++ curated a high-profile speaker lineup, including leaders from Godrej Industries, Reliance Consumer Products, Marico, Bisleri, Bandhan Bank, and the Alliance to End Plastic Waste. Plenary sessions from PepsiCo and McKinsey & Company addressed trends in sustainability, consumer behaviour, and packaging transformation. A macroeconomic outlook was also delivered by a chief economist.
The event featured 10 business sessions and seven panel discussions with over 85 industry speakers, exploring topics like AI in packaging, mono-materials, rPET, and decarbonisation. The concurrent expo hosted 100+ exhibitors showcasing live demos and next-gen technologies.
ElitePlus++ Founder & MD Nidhi Verma said, “The 12th edition has been a landmark, uniting global leadership and India’s packaging value chain at a decisive moment.”
