Emirates Printing Press (EPP) has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal in recognition of its commitment to sustainability. The accolade places EPP among the top 5 percent of companies evaluated globally by EcoVadis, a platform that assesses corporate sustainability across environmental, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement pillars.
EPP undertook the assessment in the 2024 cycle and received high marks for its environmental management systems, waste reduction initiatives, employee health and safety policies, and supply chain transparency. The company’s sustainability team coordinated improvements across its operations to meet EcoVadis criteria, including enhanced energy monitoring, use of recycled materials, and stricter supplier code-of-conduct enforcement.
In a statement, EPP’s sustainability director said the recognition “reflects years of continuous improvement and stakeholder collaboration.” EcoVadis evaluates more than 75,000 companies each year, with only the top 5 percent achieving Gold status. EPP plans to build on this achievement by integrating additional circular economy practices, advancing water conservation measures, and expanding employee training programmes. The company will publish its detailed sustainability report in early 2025 to share progress with its stakeholders, clients, media, investors, and international partners. The EcoVadis Gold Medal underscores EPP’s position among industry leaders in sustainable printing and packaging solutions.
