Founteyn secures funding to expand its beverage dispensing technology for workplace and office markets
Naarden-based beverage tech startup Founteyn has raised €19.3 million ($22.8 million) in an oversubscribed Series A funding round, with strategic backing that includes a commercial partnership with PepsiCo. According to EU Startups, the round was led by APG, on behalf of ABP, alongside Flying Fish and Leysern Aquacore.
Founteyn has developed a capsule-based system capable of delivering hot, cold, still, and sparkling drinks in under 15 seconds. The system is aimed at reducing packaging waste by up to 80% and CO2 emissions by more than 50%, addressing growing sustainability concerns in the beverage and office delivery sectors.
The company’s commercial partnership with PepsiCo, along with SodaStream, will provide access to a wide portfolio of beverage brands, enabling Founteyn to offer a more diverse range of drink options for offices and other away-from-home locations.
“PepsiCo’s support, combined with our patented system, helps us simplify beverage delivery and reduce reliance on single-use packaging,” said Boyd Mulder, Founteyn’s founder and CEO.
Founteyn’s manufacturing will be handled by Euro-Caps, a capsule producer making over 4 million compatible units daily. Distribution for the initial pilot launch will be supported by Culligan Quench.
As reported by EU Startups, Founteyn’s Series A stands out in the European beverage tech landscape, which has otherwise seen more modest funding rounds in 2025.
The company plans to launch in the US market and is preparing for a Series B round in late 2026 or early 2027 to support its global expansion strategy.
