Hotpack Releases 2024 Carbon Footprint Report, Outlines Emission Reduction Targets

Hotpack has published its Corporate Carbon Footprint Report for 2024 ,disclosing emissions data and outlining reduction strategies across its operations in the MENA region. The company reported total emissions of 53,320 tons of CO₂ equivalent for the year, broken down as 16,963 tons from direct emissions (Scope 1), 30,579 tons from electricity use (Scope 2), and 5,777 tons from supply chain and logistics (Scope 3).

According to the report, “major contributors to direct emissions included diesel fuel use and transportation logistics,” while Scope 3 emissions were largely from waste disposal and third-party logistics.

Hotpack has committed to reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 63% and Scope 3 emissions by 37.5% per unit of value added by 2035. Measures include solar panel installation, hybrid and electric vehicles, and resource-efficient systems. The company aligns its reporting with GRI, ESG, and Ecovadis frameworks to enhance accountability and transparency.
