Kodak has announced the release of version 11.5 of its Prinergy workflow software, introducing new automation features, system integration enhancements, and usability improvements for commercial and packaging print service providers.
The latest update brings expanded capabilities in rules-based automation (RBA), including new automation actions and improved troubleshooting options. According to Kodak, the additions are intended to help users streamline operations by enabling more responsive, customizable workflows.
Version 11.5 also offers deeper integration with several Kodak solutions.
The software now works more closely with Prinergy Preps for imposition planning and Virtual Proofing Software Plus (VPS+), which is used for
soft proofing.
New profile options have been added to Preflight+, Kodak’s file verification tool, to allow for more detailed content checking. In addition, the update improves integration with PrintLink, enabling more reliable generation and transfer of JDF and PPF files to printing presses and post-press systems such as cutters.
These changes are designed to help print shops better coordinate production steps across systems. The company noted further improvements to overall
system performance, usability,
and security.
“Kodak continues to lead the way in workflow software development.
With the latest improvements in PRINERGY Workflow 11.5, we are enabling customers to drive greater productivity and efficiency,” said Jim Barnes, Kodak’s Product Manager for PRINERGY Workflow.
The release follows previous updates aimed at expanding Kodak’s workflow capabilities and comes amid growing demand for greater automation and interoperability in packaging and commercial printing environments.
Prinergy remains a core component of Kodak’s workflow offering and is used across a range of offset, digital, and hybrid print production systems.
