Kongsberg Launches Entry-Level Digital Cutting Tables

New Kongsberg Entro series aims to boost efficiency for small-scale packaging converters.

Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (PCS) has launched a new line of entry-level digital cutting tables targeting small and mid-sized packaging and signmaking businesses.

The new Entro series—comprising the Entro 20 and Entro 24—has been developed specifically for packaging converters and signmakers looking to produce short-run jobs, prototypes, and samples without investing in a full-scale system.

“With the Entro series, we’ve responded directly to what our customers have been asking for – the trusted performance, reliability, and service support that Kongsberg is known for, without the scale of a full production system,” said David Preskett, VP EMEA & APAC, Kongsberg PCS.

Both Entro models feature the latest iPC 3.1 software and can reach speeds of up to 50 meters per minute. They support a range of substrates commonly used in packaging applications, from vinyl and corrugated board to plywood.

The Entro 20 features the company’s FlexiHead tool and is designed for basic cutting and creasing tasks. Its compact form factor and ease of use make it suitable for smaller converters or print houses looking to expand into packaging work.

The more advanced Entro 24 adds a 1kW MultiCUT spindle for milling tougher materials, including rigid substrates like acrylic and corrugated plastic up to 10mm thick. A conveyor belt system and integrated vacuum enable continuous, hands-free operation—key for businesses aiming to streamline production.

Kongsberg’s move signals an effort, where demand for flexible and localized production tools is rising. These systems offer a practical solution for converters dealing with fluctuating volumes and a wider mix of materials, without overinvesting in industrial-scale machinery.

The Entro range is now available through Kongsberg’s distributor network and online.
