Parakh Flexipacks strengthens partnership with BOBST with fourth printing press

VISION CI Flexo press

Parakh Flexipacks has installed its fourth printing press from BOBST — the VISION CI Flexo. The commissioning marks ten years of collaboration between the two companies.

Established in 2003, Parakh Flexipacks is part of the ₹4,000 crore Parakh Group and supplies flexible packaging across sectors including FMCG, dairy, beverages, snacks, confectionery, hygiene, and apparel. The company operates a facility equipped with both flexographic and rotogravure printing technologies and exports printed packaging films.

The new installation builds on the company’s existing use of BOBST technology. Harshal Parakh, Executive Director, said: “BOBST smartGPS has significantly reduced our reliance on highly skilled operators for precision registration while minimizing setup times and substrate waste. By enhancing consistency and reducing human error, it enables us to scale high-quality production and meet evolving market demands.”

Vinay Nalawade, CEO, added that the VISION CI Flexo has delivered measurable productivity gains. “The VISION CI Flexo attributes cutting-edge innovations that have set a new benchmark in flexographic printing. Since its installation, it has consistently delivered exceptional performance, significantly enhancing our productivity to meet rising market demand. Its robust engineering — including a cast iron frame, carbon fiber shafts, and precise drive controls — minimizes vibrations for high-speed, high-precision output,” he said.

According to the company, features such as automatic plate cylinder bearing systems, semi-floatation drying, and face-to-face winders are designed to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Both executives highlighted the role of BOBST India’s service support in ensuring minimal downtime. Nalawade described the VISION CI Flexo as “our most productive press.”

The press has recorded more than 100 global installations since launch.
