Polygreen has launched “Again, Please”, a reusable foodware system designed to replace single-use plastics across events and high-footfall venues in the UAE. The launch took place at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) held at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, coinciding with the country’s wider policy push toward circular economy models.

The system’s initial deployment at WFES included hot and cold reusable cups used by participating exhibitors throughout the event. It aims to demonstrate a practical reuse model that integrates packaging, logistics, and cleaning infrastructure to support waste reduction at scale.

Polygreen’s initiative aligns with recent UAE legislation phasing out single-use plastic products and supports the country’s broader sustainability and circular economy targets.

“The UAE has taken decisive steps to address plastic waste through regulation and policy. Again, Please demonstrates how policy, infrastructure, and proven reusable packaging solutions which support behavioural change can work together,” said Athanasios Polychronopoulos, Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer at Polygreen.

The system is based on a closed-loop model. It includes collection points, logistics, and a centralised industrial washing hub located in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi. This facility is the first of its kind in the UAE and is designed for food-grade, high-volume washing and quick turnaround to return packaging into circulation.

Theodossios Kassapantoniou, General Manager of Again, Please, added: “Our goal with Again, Please is to make reuse simple, accessible, and commercially viable. By providing the full infrastructure behind the scenes, from washing and logistics to on-ground deployment, we enable HoReCa operators and venues to move away from single-use foodware.”

Prior to the official launch, the system was piloted at several events in Abu Dhabi. According to the company, the trials demonstrated high return rates and active consumer participation, contributing to landfill waste reduction and improved environmental performance.
