Reprotronics invests in Esko CDI Crystal 4260 XPS to strengthen flexo plate production

Advanced platemaking technology continues to drive consistency and efficiency in flexographic printing.

Reprotronics, a Dubai-based prepress and visual graphics provider, has installed an Esko CDI Crystal 4260 XPS flexo platemaking line to expand its production capabilities and improve efficiency.

The company, part of the UAE-based Thomsun Group, has been active in the graphic arts sector since 1993. Its latest investment reflects rising demand for high-quality flexographic plates in the Middle East and Africa, where the flexographic printing market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 5.2% between 2025 and 2030, reaching USD 1,027.7 million by 2030, according to Grand View Research.

“With the Esko CDI Crystal 4260 XPS, we have significantly boosted our ability to produce superior plates with remarkable repeatability and stability,” said Anand Mistry, Production Manager at Reprotronics. “The combination of Esko Crystal Screening and the consistent exposure delivered by the XPS unit ensures optimum plate quality and exceptional on-press performance. The automation has been a true game changer for us. It has eliminated human error and reduced manual steps, but perhaps the most valuable thing this technology gives us is confidence.”

The Esko system integrates plate imaging and exposure into a single workflow, reducing complexity and operator time. By consolidating processes and using UV LED exposure, Reprotronics expects sharper print results and reduced waste.

Eddy Fadel, GM/VP Digital Flexo Solutions at Esko, commented: “Reprotronics is on a mission to deliver exceptional flexographic plates to the Middle East market, and we’re proud to be part of that journey.”

The investment is aimed at reinforcing Reprotronics’ position as a partner for packaging and print businesses across the region.
