SIG has entered into a strategic partnership with Nuitree, a Dubai-based food and beverage company, to advance plant-based beverage production in the UAE. The agreement was formalized at Nuitree’s facility in Dubai Investment City and is aimed at enhancing innovation and expanding sustainable beverage offerings across the Middle East.

As part of the collaboration, Nuitree will implement SIG’s XSlim 24 Aseptic line, a high-speed filling system capable of handling a variety of product types and packaging volumes. The system allows for the production of almond and oat milks, fruit juices, soups, sauces, and beverages with fruit pieces and fiber, all packaged in 80 to 200 ml carton packs.

The move aligns with growing consumer demand in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region for plant-based products, driven by evolving dietary habits, increased health awareness, and sustainability concerns. The UAE has seen particularly strong growth in this category, with expanded offerings in retail and foodservice sectors.

In a company statement, SIG said, “This collaboration with Nuitree strengthens their capabilities in the fast-growing plant-based beverage category while showcasing the flexibility and performance of our latest aseptic line.”

Aseptic carton technology, which enables long shelf life without refrigeration, is seen as key to scaling sustainable food production while reducing waste and energy consumption.

The partnership also reflects SIG’s investment in regional manufacturing capabilities to support faster market entry and align with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 goals.

The signing was attended by executives from both companies, including Nuitree Managing Partner Omro Kakah and SIG Middle East & Africa VP Niall Hoey. With market growth projections in double digits over the next five years, the deal positions both firms to play a leading role in the region’s plant-based beverage sector.
