Taghleef Industries Adds Floatable White Shrink Sleeve Film to SHAPE360 Line

New SHAPE360® TDSW white polyolefin shrink sleeve film is designed to aid PET bottle recycling by separating cleanly during processing.

Taghleef Industries has launched a new white polyolefin TD shrink sleeve film, expanding its SHAPE360® range with a recyclable, floatable option tailored for PET bottles.

The new product, SHAPE360® TDSW, offers high opacity for label applications while maintaining the low-density characteristics needed for proper recycling. It mirrors the recyclability profile of its clear counterpart, SHAPE360® TDS.

Designed for use on clear PET bottles, the white film improves print quality and product appearance without compromising the recycling process. Its low density allows it to float during sorting, which helps separate it from heavier PET flakes. This reduces contamination in the recycling stream and improves the purity of recovered PET material.

“This new white polyolefin shrink sleeve film represents a significant leap in labeling innovation,” said Diana Dedeic, Product Manager at Taghleef Industries. “Building upon our existing SHAPE360® portfolio, this development underscores our dedication to fulfilling market needs for diverse and thinner solutions optimized for recycling.”

The film is engineered for strong ink adhesion, reducing ink bleed during recycling. It can also be used on PE containers, allowing both label and container to stay within a compatible polyolefin stream.

Available alongside existing SHAPE360® clear films in 50, 45, and now 42-micron thicknesses, the white version supports light-sensitive applications such as dairy and natural beverages. It works with both conventional and digital printing and fits a variety of container shapes through full-body shrink labeling.

This release strengthens Taghleef’s efforts to improve recyclability across packaging formats.
