Tetra Pak has announced the appointment of Stelios Mourouglakis as Managing Director for Egypt Area, effective 1 November 2025. Based in Cairo, Mourouglakis will oversee the company’s operations in Egypt and its broader area activities.
Mourouglakis joined Tetra Pak in 2010 and has held various leadership positions within the region. Most recently, he served as Sales Director for Central Eurasia, a role he took on in 2022. His previous experience includes roles as Key Account Director, Key Account Manager, and Account Manager, with responsibilities across both Greece and Egypt Area.
His background includes several years in Egypt, which, combined with his international exposure, positions him to support business development and strengthen partnerships in the market.
“Serving as Key Account Director in Egypt for over four years allowed me to build strong relationships with our customers and partners,” Mourouglakis said. “Returning to Cairo feels like coming home.”
He noted Egypt’s strategic importance in the region, citing its scale, innovation potential, and customer engagement. “Egypt is a dynamic and fast-evolving market with immense potential across the food and beverage value chain,” he added.
Mourouglakis also pointed to Libya as a market of growing interest. “Libya is a promising growth frontier, with a young population eager for innovation,” he said.
He confirmed Tetra Pak’s participation at Pacprocess, taking place 9–12 December, where the company will present its integrated solutions aimed at enhancing efficiency and supporting sustainable practices across the industry.
