South African print specialist SA Litho has become the first company on the African continent to install Nilpeter’s FA-26 printing press, marking a milestone in the region’s label and packaging sector.
The installation represents the latest step in a long-standing relationship between SA Litho and Danish press manufacturer Nilpeter. The new FA-26 joins other equipment from Nilpeter previously adopted by SA Litho, including the FA Asterix.
The FA-26 press is designed for flexible packaging, with applications in segments such as wine and spirits, food, and pharmaceuticals. The installation is currently in progress, with training and commissioning underway.
“We see the FA-26 as an opportunity to stay ahead of the curve, offering innovative solutions that exceed our customers’ expectations,” said Dawrian Salies, General Manager at SA Litho. “The growing demand for broader printing capabilities… played a key role in this decision.”
Nilpeter’s local partner, CSM Machine Sales, will support the rollout through its regional Customer Service Management (CSM) team. Del Wiggill from CSM said the order underscores the strong working relationship with SA Litho.
“It’s a fantastic solution for a forward-thinking company like SA Litho,” he said.
Martin Fjordlund Teilberg, Global Marketing Manager at Nilpeter, noted the wider industry trend toward broader presses, adding that the FA-26 will be on display at Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona.
“It is… a great pleasure to see SA Litho… take this important step,” Teilberg commented.
The FA-26 can be viewed at Nilpeter’s booth during Labelexpo Europe 2025.
