Tropicana Debuts ‘Fresh & Light’ Juice Range in Pure-Pak® Cartons

Tropicana’s new ‘Fresh & Light’ juices launched in recyclable Pure-Pak® cartons in the UK market.

Tropicana has rolled out its new ‘Fresh & Light’ juice range across major UK retailers, aiming to address consumer demand for healthier beverage options with less sugar. Available in recyclable Pure-Pak® cartons, the new range includes five products in three flavours—Morning Orange, Crisp Apple, and Tropical—offered in 850ml and 1.45L sizes.

The launch began at the end of March 2025, with wider availability expected by early May. The drinks are a blend of pressed fruits and water, offering a lighter alternative to traditional juice while maintaining essential nutrients. Each variant contains 30% less sugar than standard fruit juices but still provides 100% of the recommended daily Vitamin C intake.

Sophie Loveday-Davies, Tropicana’s Marketing Manager, said, “The juice category has seen a decline in shoppers due to the rising cost of fruit juice and concerns over sugar intake, so Tropicana has addressed those with the launch of Fresh & Light.”

Backed by data from Zappi (June 2024), which shows that over one-third of consumers have reduced or stopped juice consumption due to sugar concerns, the brand aims to attract these shoppers back to the segment.

“The Pure-Pak® carton is a well-known and trusted pack for our brand which is also fully recyclable in the UK,” added Nikolaos Kokidis, Packaging Procurement Lead Europe at Tropicana.

Tropicana’s new range is now available in Asda and Ocado, with broader distribution to Sainsbury’s, Nisa, Amazon Fresh, Morrisons, and Tesco rolling out through April and May 2025.
