Yamato Corporation has introduced the Omega-0132MV, a high-speed twin multihead weigher, aimed at improving throughput in food manufacturing and co-packing operations. Part of the company’s Omega Series, the new model offers a reported weighing capacity of up to 600 weighments per minute—300 per side—making it the fastest combination scale currently on the market.
The Omega-0132MV is designed to fill up to 540 bags per minute, depending on product weight and the bagging machine used. It supports a wide range of product applications, including cookies, crackers, gummies, and various confectionery items. The machine handles weighments from 4 to 500 grams and includes memory technology to increase the number of weighing combinations. It also features Yamato’s patented ultra heavy-duty load cells with resolution to 1/100 of a gram.
The scale’s design emphasizes compatibility with modern vertical form fill seal (VFFS) machines and supports centerlines of both 320mm and 360mm. Compact construction allows for integration into facilities with vertical space limitations.
Developed with input from industry users, the model targets a balance of performance and cost-efficiency, aiming to deliver faster throughput and reduced waste without excess investment in unneeded features.
