ABG and HP collaboration drives industry investment

AB Graphic International (ABG) and HP’s partnership is driving industry investment, with leading label manufacturers such as All4Labels, Brook + Whittle, and Eshuis implementing innovative non-stop winding (NSW) technology into their operations. This technology, integrated into HP’s flagship HP Indigo V12 Digital Press, enhances printing and converting processes.

To showcase the benefits of combining the HP Indigo V12 Digital Press with NSW technology, ABG and HP have installed the system at HP’s Graphic Arts Experience in Barcelona, Spain. This allows customers to witness firsthand the efficiencies generated by this integration. Another installation is planned for the HP Center in Atlanta later in 2024.

The non-stop unwind and rewinding system from ABG is designed to seamlessly integrate with the HP Indigo V12 Digital Press, offering a platform that prioritizes productivity, comfort, and operator safety. Running at 120 meters per minute, it sets a new standard in performance with unparalleled tension control, ensuring reliability for various applications.

Elad Zmora, HP Indigo labels product manager, highlighted the productivity benefits of the HP Indigo V12 Digital Press with ABG’s NSW solution, stating, “Replacing the time-consuming manual operation of changing, unwinding, and rewinding, ABG’s NSW solution increases press productivity by 10-20 minutes per hour, bringing digital value to every job.”

Matt Burton, ABG’s global sales director, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions and facilitating the transition to digital, stating, “The addition of ABG’s NSW technology enables label printers to maximize the potential of the HP Indigo V12 Digital Press.”
