ADNOC Distribution signs industrial supply agreements with EGA and Borouge

ADNOC Distribution announced strategic industrial partnerships with EGA and Borouge during Make it in the Emirates in Abu Dhabi.

ADNOC Distribution has announced strategic agreements with Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) and Borouge during the Make it in the Emirates event, with the partnerships collectively valued at more than AED 60 million. The agreements are focused on industrial lubricant supply, local manufacturing and packaging development in the UAE.

According to the company, the agreements are expected to support local production volumes and long-term supply commitments across key industrial sectors. ADNOC Distribution said its lubricants portfolio currently includes 520 products serving automotive, industrial and speciality applications. The company also stated that its lubricant manufacturing operations in the UAE hold an In-Country Value (ICV) score of 96%, with products exported to 53 countries.

The agreement with EGA is aimed at supplying locally blended lubricants for large-scale industrial operations. EGA spends around AED 8 billion annually on goods and services from UAE suppliers, with more than 40% of its procurement directed locally. The collaboration is linked to the UAE’s Operation 300bn industrial strategy and is intended to support operational efficiency and local supply chain development.

Separately, ADNOC Distribution and Borouge are working on local production of specialised materials, including pharma-grade white oil. The companies stated that initial production volumes exceeding 40 metric tonnes have already been developed and tested in the UAE, with plans to scale production further, including a proposed 100-metric-tonne phase.

The partnership with Borouge also includes development of lubricant packaging solutions using high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The companies said the packaging structure incorporates lightweighting measures and recycled material integration to support packaging sustainability objectives and supply chain resilience within the lubricants sector.
