Canon partners with Dubai Business Women Council for ‘Women Who Empower’ campaign

Canon & Dubai Business Women Council empower women in imaging & print.

Canon, a global leader in imaging solutions, has partnered with the Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) to launch the ‘Women Who Empower’ campaign. This initiative aims to uplift and support women in the imaging and print industries through webinars, mentorship opportunities, and networking events.

Aligned with Canon’s ‘Future of People’ theme and the ‘Inclusion and Diversity’ pillar, the “Women Who Empower” campaign seeks to empower women by providing a platform to showcase their work, access necessary tools, and excel through investment and training programs. This year’s International Women’s Day theme of “Inspire Inclusion” further resonates with the campaign’s goal.

The program consists of three modules: printing, photography, and content creation, each comprising four sessions—two theory and two practical. Participants can choose one or more areas of interest. The content creation curriculum, led by award-winning Emirati film director and producer Nahla Al Fahad, will provide extensive training on producing engaging video content. Jorge Ferrari, a leading sport, action, commercial photographer and Canon Ambassador, will lead the photography curriculum. Lastly, the printing module, led by Ayman Ali, Marketing Director, B2B, Canon Middle East, will cover printing options for applications such as customized interior décor and photography portfolios.

Canon will provide imaging and printing equipment, along with identifying and providing trainers. Participants will receive Canon products upon completion of the program and will be featured on Canon’s official platforms, potentially leading to collaboration opportunities. The workshops will be conducted at Nahla Al Fahad’s Beyond Studio and ArtPlus studios in the UAE.
