Kimoha Entrepreneurs FZCO has installed a new RFID Smart Label manufacturing facility, the first of its kind in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The move means the firm will cater to both the RFID requirements of customers in the UAE and to those based out of the GCC too.
The installation was celebrated with an inauguration on June 7 and was attended by dignitaries from Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), the H.E. consul general of India, H.E. consul general of Germany and officials from the Dubai economy and Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.
H.E. consul general of Germany Holger Mahnicke described the occasion as the celebration of Indian, German and Emirati friendship. He also pointed out the same technology was used at the German Pavilion EXPO 2020.
H.E. consul general of India – Dr Aman Puri credited Kimoha for bringing such technologies to the UAE.
Director of government communications for the department of economic development Mariam al Afridi remarked that she had been inspired by Kimoha’s growth during a time when the world was severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
His Excellency Abdulla bin Damithan, the CEO of JAFZA, had special praise for Kimoha owner Vinesh Bhimani, quipping: “Every time I come to visit Mr Vinesh, he gives me something new.”
Established in 1988, Kimoha provides speciality labelling and packaging solutions for the cosmetics, perfume, lubricants, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, aviation, retail and logistics and garments segments in the Middle East.
Kimoha boasts a fleet of the latest flexography printing machines and digital presses and is staffed by over 300 employees. An award-winning business, it has won the Taqdeer 5 stars award three times in a row and in 2013 was ranked 27 in the UAE top 100 SME. In 2015 it received the Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum business award.

Its manufacturing set-up is situated in JAFZA and it caters to more than 40 countries globally.
