ePac Flexible Packaging Marks Expansion with New Plant in Accra, Ghana

ePac CEO Jack Knott: “the opening of the plant in Ghana represents a significant milestone in ePac’s global expansion.”

ePac Flexible Packaging, a leader in custom flexible packaging, celebrated the opening of its new Grade A 2,200 square meter production plant on Spintex Road in Accra, Ghana. The grand opening event drew nearly 150 local dignitaries, government officials, customers, and media.

Since its establishment in 2021, ePac West Africa has catered to customers across the continent, including Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, and Zanzibar, with fulfillment managed by ePac’s UK and Lyon, France plants. The new Accra plant positions ePac West Africa to serve Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands of all sizes in the region, offering competitively priced flexible packaging with industry-leading turnaround times.

Victor Sosah, General Manager of ePac West Africa, emphasized the company’s commitment to quality packaging for small and medium enterprises: “With our first facility in Ghana, we can help our customers ‘buy-local,’ supporting government initiatives to boost local food manufacturing and reduce imports.”

Sosah highlighted ePac’s all-digital platform, which reduces lead times from months to 15 business days after artwork approval. He noted, “No longer will local brands need to accept inferior packaging or source it from overseas.”

According to ePac CEO Jack Knott, the Ghana plant signifies a significant milestone in global expansion. Knott expressed excitement about providing a packaging option that allows brands to compete locally and internationally. ePac, founded in 2016, operates through its proprietary technology platform, ePacONE, with 25 facilities globally.

ePac’s print technology platform is carbon-neutral and eco-friendly, offering sustainable film options. The company’s true order-to-demand capability aids brands in reducing inventory and obsolescence. Knott added, “Today, through ePacONE, we provide brands, large and small alike, the ability to produce any size order anywhere.”
