ePS completes SOC 2 Type 2 examination for cloud security controls

eProductivity Software (ePS) has completed a SOC 2 Type 2 examination, providing independent verification that its security controls operated effectively over the assessed period, supporting the security of its cloud-based technology for packaging manufacturers.

The examination was conducted by an independent licensed CPA firm and covered the period from November 6, 2025, to May 25, 2026. According to the company, while a SOC 2 Type 1 examination evaluates whether controls are appropriately designed at a specific point in time, the Type 2 examination assesses whether those controls function consistently over an extended period.

The assessment evaluated ePS against the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) Trust Services Criteria for Security. It follows the company’s completion of a SOC 2 Type 1 examination in November 2025.

“Our customers are trusting us with the systems that run their operations every day,” said Scott Brown, Chief Information Officer at ePS. “This result tells them that trust is well placed. It’s independent confirmation that we take that responsibility seriously, and that we’ll keep earning it as we grow.”

The independently validated controls included role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication, secure software development and controlled change management, continuous logging, monitoring and alerting, and incident response, backup and recovery processes.

Brown added: “It’s independent confirmation that the security practices behind our cloud solutions are consistent and reliable, not just at a point in time, but over the long term.”

According to ePS, the SOC 2 Type 2 report is available to customers and qualified business partners upon request, subject to appropriate confidentiality requirements. The company said the examination provides independent assurance for governance, risk review, and compliance processes.
