First Impression bolsters its move to a new location with a new Nilpeter FA-line press

CSM Machine Sales and First Impression Labels pose for a photo with the new FA-Line press in Durban, South Africa.

South Africa’s label specialist First Impression, formerly Uniprint, has installed a new Nilpeter FA-Line 17-inch flexo press. The press was installed by CSM Machines sales, Nilpeter’s representative in South Africa.

CSM also assisted First Impression, its long-time partner with a comprehensive company relocation to their new Hirt & Carter site at the Cornubia Industrial Business Estate in Durban, South Africa.

Negotiations with First Impression, a part of the Hirt & Carter Group, started in September 2018 when they reached out to CSM in need of assistance with moving and re-installing both Nilpeter and
other auxiliary equipment.

“The CSM team turned out to be extremely diligent, and as far as I am concerned, they met all  my requirements and deadlines, sometimes under trying conditions, and were more than willing to put in extra hours over weekends to meet them,” said Vaughan Vaughan Cumming, production director, First Impression.

The installation of the new 10-colour FA-Line press, with many value-adding features, was commissioned by CSM, with training via Nilpeter’s Kevin Knudson. “Everything went according to
plan, and more importantly, the new press runs like a dream,”Vaughan Cumming concluded. First Impression’s next plan is to upgrade its existing eight-colour Nilpeter FA-Line press into a
10-colour mirror image of the new 17” FA-Line press.
