Dubai-based investment firm GII has completed a minority equity investment in Hotpack Global Holding Ltd, a food packaging manufacturer operating across the GCC and international markets.
According to the company announcement, the investment proceeds will primarily be used to increase recently commissioned production capacity and support Hotpack’s ongoing international expansion strategy. Hotpack currently operates 25 manufacturing facilities and supplies packaging products to customers in more than 100 countries.
The development also includes plans linked to Hotpack’s manufacturing expansion in Saudi Arabia. The company is preparing to commission a new facility in Al Kharj, which is expected to increase its production capacity within the Kingdom. The project is supported by long-term supply agreements with customers and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 manufacturing objectives.
GII stated that the transaction marks its entry into the manufacturing sector, following previous investments in healthcare, education and logistics. The company added that the investment supports the UAE’s Operation 300bn industrial strategy through manufacturing growth, exports and supply chain development.
Mohammed Alhassan and Pankaj Gupta, Co-Founders and Co-CEOs of GII, said the company looked forward to working with Hotpack’s board members to support future growth and expansion initiatives.
Abdul Jebbar, Founder and Managing Director of Hotpack Global, said the investment would help the company expand manufacturing capacity, enter additional markets and continue developments in sustainable packaging.
The transaction reflects continued investment activity within the regional packaging manufacturing sector, particularly in areas linked to food packaging production, industrial localisation and export-oriented manufacturing capacity across the GCC region. The investment also comes as packaging manufacturers in the Middle East continue expanding operations to address growing demand from foodservice, retail and industrial sectors across domestic and international markets.
