Gulf Packaging Industries to expand footprint in Africa

The company aims to meet growing demand of BOPP films in Africa

Gulf Packaging Industries Company, one of the biggest producer of BOPP films in Middle East region has announced that it has begun work on setting up a modern state of the art manufacturing complex in Egypt.

 

The project will be completed in two phases to install two high speed BOPP lines along with complete set of coating, metallising and slitting equipment which will offer a broad range of products and solutions. The company also announced today that it will continue expanding its manufacturing footprint in a new region which will be announced by mid-2023.

 

It is currently operating three BOPP lines with name plate capacity of 115,000 tons and construction is in full swing for the installation of its new 10.4 M wide BOPP line which is expected to be commissioned in Q4′ 2022 thereby increasing the total annual capacity to 182,000 tons.
