Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) has announced the launch of the Jetfire 75, a new B2+ format digital inkjet press aimed at industrial print production. The press is part of Heidelberg’s growing digital ecosystem, integrating hardware, software, workflow, consumables, and services under one platform.
Following the global rollout of the Jetfire 50 in B3 format, the Jetfire 75 marks a further step in the company’s digital expansion. It offers a production speed of up to 9,800 4Up sheets per hour (simplex), with an annual output capacity of up to 58 million sheets. The press supports substrates ranging from 60 to 450 gsm, including certain cardboard stocks.
The Jetfire 75 is embedded into Heidelberg’s Prinect Production workflow and the newly introduced Prinect Touch Free. This AI-driven automation platform determines the optimal production method—digital or offset—based on real-time data. It supports hybrid workflows, enabling the processing of over 1,000 print jobs per day.
“The Jetfire 75 signals that Heidelberg is shaping the future of digital industrial print production,” said Dr. David Schmedding, Chief Technology & Sales Officer at Heidelberg.
Initial installations of the Jetfire 75 are scheduled to begin in fall 2026, with availability for demonstrations from summer 2026 at the Print Media Center in Wiesloch-Walldorf. The rollout will begin in core markets including Germany, Switzerland, the UK, Canada, and the United States.
The system also incorporates a “self-service” concept, training operators to handle routine maintenance. According to CEO Jürgen Otto, “Heidelberg is underscoring its approach as a comprehensive systems integrator in the printing sector.”
Applications for the Jetfire 75 include short-run and high-volume production of brochures, catalogs, books, labels, and personalized print jobs.
