Henkel Launches Injectable Thermally Conductive Adhesive for EV Batteries

Henkel, a global leader in automotive adhesives and thermal materials, has introduced Loctite TLB 9300 APSi, the world’s first injectable thermally conductive adhesive for electric vehicle (EV) battery systems. Loctite TLB 9300 APSi is a two-component polyurethane adhesive designed to address challenges in bonding battery cells to modules and connecting cells to cooling systems. It boasts a high thermal conductivity of 3 W/mK, moderate viscosity, and self-leveling characteristics for easy application. The adhesive also provides excellent electrical insulation and bonding performance on various substrates. It is solvent-free, cures at room temperature, and contributes to energy reduction, sustainability, and workplace safety.
