Husky Technologies has highlighted the capabilities of its HyPET®6e platform for PET preform manufacturing, with a focus on processing recycled PET (rPET) within integrated production systems. The platform combines machine, mold, and auxiliary technologies into a single system designed to support the processing of up to 100% rPET.
It incorporates melt management and process control features aimed at addressing variability in recycled materials and maintaining consistent preform quality. The system also includes vacuum drying technology to improve moisture control and contaminant removal, particularly when handling recycled resins.
Energy optimisation is supported by using servo-driven components and adaptive pressure control, intended to reduce energy consumption while maintaining production efficiency. Automation and real-time monitoring are integrated into the system, alongside closed-loop quality control, to support consistent output and reduce manual intervention.
The design also enables faster material changeovers, allowing processors to switch between applications with reduced downtime. The system configuration reflects the increasing focus on integrating processing, material handling, and quality control within PET preform manufacturing, particularly as the use of recycled content continues to expand.
