Swisslog has expanded its automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) portfolio for pallet handling with the introduction of AgileStore, a four-way roaming pallet shuttle system. The development adds to the company’s existing portfolio, which includes the PowerStore bi-directional pallet shuttle and the Vectura pallet stacker crane.
The AgileStore system enables multidirectional shuttle movement, including forward, backward, cross-aisle, and vertical travel. This allows independent shuttle operation across the warehouse and supports more flexible pallet movement. The system is designed to operate in warehouse environments with varying layouts, including irregular geometries where traditional aisle-based systems may be limited.
The solution incorporates integrated lift systems that move shuttles and pallets between racking levels. Each shuttle can access any storage location, supporting load transfer and routing across the system. The system is intended to reduce manual handling and forklift use while supporting inventory management through automated storage and retrieval.

Swisslog is partnering with Eurofork for the roaming pallet shuttle technology. The system supports multiple pallet formats, including EURO, Industry, CHEP Block, CP1, CP2, CP3 and GMA, and can handle loads of up to 1,500 kg. It operates in both ambient and cold storage environments, including temperatures down to -30°C.
The system integrates with Swisslog’s software platform SynQ and standard warehouse management systems. It uses control software for traffic management, storage, and retrieval processes, with real-time monitoring of inventory and system operations.
