Messe Düsseldorf has announced that the next Interpack will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 10 to 15 June 2029, with a six-day schedule running from Sunday to Friday. The processing and packaging trade fair will move to an early summer date following its 2026 edition.

The organiser said the revised schedule follows discussions with exhibiting companies and consultation with the Interpack Advisory Board and international industry associations. According to Messe Düsseldorf, exhibitors had expressed a preference for a more compact event that supports focused meetings and a more targeted use of time at the fair.

“Interpack is the most important platform in its sector. Building on this position, we are consistently developing the event further. We listen carefully to what exhibitors and visitors need and are creating a format that will support their success at the trade fair even more effectively. This is the first visible sign of that. Further innovations will follow,” said Thomas Dohse, Director of Interpack. Messe Düsseldorf said the Sunday-to-Friday arrangement is intended to balance international participation with more efficient use of exhibitors’ and visitors’ time. The organiser described high-quality contacts as a priority for exhibitors.

The June timing will also bring outdoor areas and walkways into greater use as places for industry interaction, the organiser said. Exhibition halls will continue to host product developments, discussions and business meetings across the processing and packaging sectors. Messe Düsseldorf presented the changes as part of its planning for the 2029 event after Interpack 2026. It said it would continue working with the industry on the fair’s format and respond to developments affecting exhibitors and visitors. No other changes to the 2029 event were specified in the announcement.
