Italian press manufacturer Lombardi Converting Machinery to supply a nine-colour Invicta i1 flexographic press to All Pack Yemen for Printing, adding an 800 mm-wide inline platform for label and flexible packaging production in Yemen.
The press deal will see the Italian flexographic printing equipment manufacturer provide its Invicta i1 technology to the Yemeni packaging printer as it develops its production capabilities across labels, flexible packaging and other printed packaging applications.
Configured with nine colours and an 800 mm web width, the Invicta i1 is a mid-web flexographic press designed for packaging production. The platform uses an inline, modular configuration that enables printing and converting processes to be arranged around specific production requirements.
According to Lombardi, the press can process substrates including BOPP, PVC, PET, thermal paper and laminated cardboard. The Invicta i1 platform supports print repeats of up to 36 inches, or 914 mm, and production speeds of up to 200 metres per minute.
The agreement comes amid supply chain disruption and geopolitical pressures affecting parts of the Middle East, including shipping conditions linked to the Strait of Hormuz.
“In a world where headlines are dominated by conflict, uncertainty, disrupted supply chains, and geopolitical tensions affecting the Middle East and the Strait of Hormuz, this achievement means far more than the sale of another printing press. It is a statement, a statement that manufacturing doesn’t stop because the world becomes more complicated, a statement that innovation, trust, and long-term partnerships can cross borders even when uncertainty tries to build walls,” said Nicola Lombardi, Marketing Manager at Lombardi Converting Machinery.
The Invicta i1 will add flexographic printing capacity for All Pack Yemen, with the nine-colour configuration supporting the converter’s packaging and label production requirements.
