L’Oréal Middle East has opened new offices in Jeddah, marking a further expansion of its operations in Saudi Arabia.

The company said the move reflects its long-term commitment to the Kingdom, where it has been active for more than 15 years through its regional operations. The opening was announced alongside wider updates on L’Oréal’s activities in the Saudi market, including local workforce development, training programmes and sustainability initiatives.

Saudi Arabia is one of the region’s key beauty and personal care markets, supported by rising consumer demand, a growing retail sector and increased participation of women in the workforce. L’Oréal said its portfolio in the Kingdom includes more than 31 brands.

According to the company, its value chain has generated SAR 3.2 billion for the Saudi economy and supported 8,765 direct and indirect jobs. L’Oréal also said it plans to further expand its workforce in the Kingdom.

Alongside the office opening, the company is also placing attention on refillable beauty products as part of its sustainability programme. L’Oréal is promoting refill formats through multibrand campaigns under its “Join the Refill Movement” initiative in Saudi Arabia.

For the packaging industry, the refill focus is relevant as beauty brands continue to assess packaging models that reduce material use and support repeat purchase through reusable packs and refill systems.

The approach could create opportunities for packaging suppliers in durable primary packs, refill pouches, dispensing systems, closures, labelling and retail-ready refill formats.

The Jeddah office opening, together with the refill initiative, points to L’Oréal’s effort to strengthen its Saudi presence while aligning parts of its beauty portfolio with changing packaging and sustainability expectations in the market.
