February 2026 – Nilpeter has announced a planned leadership transition at Nilpeter Ltd, with David Kitson appointed managing director effective 1 February 2026. He succeeds Nick Hughes, who has led the UK organisation for more than three decades.
Hughes joined Nilpeter in 1990 and has played a key role in establishing the company’s position in the UK label press market. During his tenure, Nilpeter UK developed its customer base and strengthened its presence in the sector.
To support continuity for customers, partners and employees, the transition will follow a defined handover period. Hughes will remain involved in the business during this phase, working with Kitson to manage the changeover.
“Nilpeter has been a huge part of my professional life, and I am very proud of what we have built together in the UK,” said Hughes. “This transition has been carefully planned, and I am fully committed to supporting David and the team to ensure continuity for our customers. I am confident that Nilpeter UK is in very good hands going forward.”
Kitson joins from Robert Graphics, where he was responsible for managing sales activities in an international environment. He brings experience from the printing industry, with a background in commercial management and customer relations.
“I am honoured to be joining Nilpeter UK and to take over from Nick,” said Kitson. “I look forward to building on this foundation together with the team.”
Nilpeter CEO Peter Eriksen said the appointment forms part of the company’s long-term UK strategy and will ensure stability during the transition period.
