Quadpack has launched the Lotus Pod, a metal-tipped applicator designed for its Skin-Up Bottle, expanding its portfolio of applicator technologies for skincare and makeup packaging formats.
The Lotus Pod is the first stainless steel applicator introduced within Quadpack’s Skin-Up range, complementing existing flocked-tip options. It is engineered to deliver a cooling sensation during application, enhancing the user experience while supporting functional performance of cosmetic formulations.
The development highlights the growing role of applicator design as a key component of product differentiation in beauty packaging. The oval-shaped metal tip features a central aperture that improves formula pick-up and controlled dispensing, particularly for high-viscosity products such as serums, under-eye treatments, primers and concealers.
The applicator is integrated with the Skin-Up Bottle, available in 15 ml and 30 ml glass formats, enabling a combination of glass primary packaging with metal components. This hybrid configuration supports premium positioning, while allowing a range of decoration options including frosting, lacquering, silk screening and hot foil stamping.
The introduction of Lotus Pod reflects a broader trend in cosmetic packaging towards sensorial and functional packaging systems, where the pack plays an active role in product performance and consumer engagement.
