SÜDPACK Medica launches MedHub service for pre-made pharmaceutical medical pouches

MedHub for stocked pharmaceutical sterile pouches

SÜDPACK Medica has launched a new service, MedHub, for the healthcare industry, enabling customers to order pre-made pouches in standard sizes and defined batch quantities. The service is effective immediately and allows ordering by phone, email, or online. The pouches are manufactured in ISO-certified cleanrooms and are kept permanently in stock, meeting the quality requirements applicable to healthcare packaging.

According to the company, MedHub is designed to support reliable delivery, either on requested dates or on a just-in-time basis. Operations supporting the service are based at SÜDPACK Medica’s newly extended ISO 7 facility in Coulmer, France, where processes have been streamlined to allow prompt order handling and fast shipment of stocked products.

The pre-made pouches are intended for use across multiple stages of the pharmaceutical value chain. Typical applications include packaging components such as stoppers, filters, and connectors, as well as use as transfer packaging for glass vials, ampoules, and syringes. These items are commonly used in the administration of liquid parenterals, including infusions, and must remain sterile prior to filling.

The current MedHub portfolio focuses on three-side seal pouches made from film and Tyvek. These pouches are sterilizable, puncture-resistant, and resistant to moisture, providing barrier protection for medical products. The materials also allow clean and controlled opening due to their peelability. For heavier products, three-side seal pouches made from PA/PE are available in various sizes and are suitable for gamma sterilization while providing a microbial barrier.

In addition to pouch supply, SÜDPACK Medica provides the relevant certifications to support quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The service is aimed at customers requiring a continuous supply of standard packaging formats with short delivery times. The company will continue to offer customized pouch solutions alongside the MedHub service. The service is positioned for routine procurement scenarios where standardized packaging availability is required
