Ball Corporation appoints new beverage packaging presidents for EMEA and North and Central America

Ball Corporation has announced leadership changes in its beverage packaging businesses across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and North and Central America, appointing Scott Vail and Carey Causey as regional presidents.

The company announced the appointments on 19 October 2026 in Westminster, Colorado. Vail will become senior vice president and president of Beverage Packaging EMEA in January 2027, succeeding Mandy Glew, who has elected to retire. Causey has taken over immediately as senior vice president and president of Beverage Packaging North and Central America, succeeding Kathleen Pitre.

Vail has served as Ball’s senior vice president and chief supply chain and operations officer since 2025, overseeing global manufacturing, supply chain, procurement and operational excellence. He joined Ball in 2021 as vice president of operations for Beverage Packaging North and Central America and later led the global deployment of Ball Operational Excellence.

Previously, Vail was president of Metal Container Corporation and held senior engineering, maintenance and operations strategy roles at AB InBev.

Causey has served as Ball’s senior vice president and chief growth officer since 2024. She joined the company in 2014 and held commercial, marketing, strategy and business development positions across several regions, including serving as president of Beverage Packaging EMEA from 2021 to 2024.

Both executives will oversee customer relationships, operational execution and financial performance in their respective regions.

“Carey and Scott are the right leaders to take these two important business units forward,” said Ron Lewis, Ball’s chief executive officer.

Lewis also thanked Glew and Pitre for their contributions. Ball stated that their departures were not related to disagreements with the company.

The appointments establish leadership for Ball’s regional packaging units, with Vail’s transition following Glew’s retirement.
