Barzman introduces label-less bottle for sustainable packaging

Barzman’s label-less bottle: Redefining sustainable packaging in the GCC.

Barzman, a leading bottled water manufacturer, has introduced a pioneering Label-Less Bottle concept aimed at revolutionizing sustainable packaging in the GCC region. The unveiling of this innovative design was made by Mr. Saif Mohamad Khatrosh Alnoumani, Chairman of International Foods and Beverages LLC, at the headquarters of Barzman National LLC in Muscat on February 15, 2024.

The Label-Less Bottle concept eliminates foreign materials like OPP labels and glue, streamlining the recycling process and prioritizing environmental sustainability. This move represents a significant step towards achieving Oman’s 2050 environmental sustainability goals and marks a paradigm shift in eco-friendly packaging innovations across the GCC.

According to Mr. Alnoumani, the concept aims to promote a bottle-to-bottle recycling opportunity that utilizes recycled PET (rPET) for environmental sustainability at every stage. Barzman has been at the forefront of eco-friendly packaging solutions, introducing initiatives such as short-neck bottles to reduce plastics in bottled water production by over 20%.

The company also integrates lean methodologies into its operations to optimize processes and minimize environmental impact. By embracing a sustainable circular PET bottled water economy, Barzman is paving the way for a more eco-conscious future.

The introduction of the label-less bottle concept will be initially presented to selected parties, reflecting Barzman’s commitment to rolling out this groundbreaking concept gradually and responsibly.
