BOBST is strengthening its focus on automation, digitalisation and integrated corrugated converting through appearances at two major industry events in 2026, addressing developments spanning flexo printing, die-cutting, folding-gluing, robotics and AI.
The Swiss packaging technology company outlined its corrugated strategy at the inaugural Corrugated 2026, held from 19–22 May at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, and will continue the technology discussion at TAPPI-AICC Corrugated Week, taking place from 28–30 September at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Texas.
In Barcelona, BOBST specialists addressed changing e-commerce requirements, AI-assisted converting, robotics and the role of digitalisation in modern corrugated plants. Sessions included the potential for robotics in corrugated board production and approaches to scalable automation across flexo folder-gluing and rotary die-cutting operations.
At Corrugated Week, BOBST will extend this focus to flexographic printing, rotary die-cutting, folding and gluing, automation, digital connectivity and technical services, with emphasis on improving productivity, process control and production consistency while reducing waste and downtime.
Bryce Cookson, Area Sales Manager at BOBST, will also participate in an FFG/DRO roundtable, examining flexo folder-gluer and rotary die-cutting technologies and the factors converters should consider when assessing performance, productivity and future equipment investment.
Across the two events, BOBST’s focus reflects the wider move towards more connected corrugated production, integrating printing and converting equipment with automation, robotics and digital process management to improve plant efficiency.
