Boxon establishes local industrial packaging manufacturing and supply operations in Morocco

Boxon has introduced local industrial packaging operations in Morocco, aiming to strengthen supply chains through regional production and reduced lead times. The company has established a warehouse and production setup, enabling delivery of both standard and customised packaging solutions produced within the country.

Following its earlier expansion announcement, the company moved from initial setup to operational readiness, allowing it to serve customers through locally sourced packaging formats. The development is intended to support businesses seeking shorter supply cycles and improved responsiveness.

“With our operations now up and running in Morocco, we can support our customers with locally produced solutions that improve efficiency and reduce dependency on long-distance supply chains,” said Linus Lemark, CEO at Boxon Group AB.

The local production model is aligned with increasing demand for regional sourcing strategies and supply chain resilience. By manufacturing closer to end users, the company aims to improve response times and operational flexibility for industries including automotive, food, and agriculture, as well as other sectors requiring industrial packaging.

In addition to core packaging formats, the company supplies packaging consumables such as stretch film, plastic returnable boxes, and adhesive tapes. This integrated offering is designed to support customers in consolidating sourcing and reducing the number of suppliers involved in packaging procurement.

The Morocco operations combine local production capabilities with the company’s international network and technical experience. According to the company, this approach is intended to enable scalable packaging supply while maintaining consistency across different markets.

“Our ambition is to be a long-term partner to our customers in Morocco, offering not just products, but complete packaging solutions that support their growth,” Lemark added.

The initiative reflects a broader shift toward localisation in industrial packaging supply chains, as companies respond to disruptions and cost pressures linked to global logistics networks and extended transportation routes globally today.
