Canon demonstrates ‘The Power to Move’ at drupa 2024

Canon is set to showcase its latest innovations at Drupa 2024 in Düsseldorf, Germany, under the theme ‘The Power to Move’. The company aims to demonstrate how its technology innovations, expert teams, support services, and collaboration efforts empower print service providers (PSPs) to transform their businesses. The exhibition will feature Canon’s full portfolio of production print technologies, including sheetfed inkjet and toner presses, high-speed continuous inkjet production lines, wide format printers, and digital label printers.

 

The exhibition will also highlight end-to-end production solutions combining Canon workflow productivity solutions, print media, and presses with the equipment of more than ten technology partners. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore customer success stories, innovative applications, and business models in digital print-on-demand.

 

At the heart of the Canon exhibition will be ‘The Core’, offering an immersive exploration of print’s emotional impact and how imaging experiences can enrich lives and businesses. The exhibition will showcase Canon’s commitment to becoming a significant, trusted partner to the label and packaging markets, with live demonstrations of various label, corrugated, and folding carton applications.

 

Canon’s technologies will be arranged by industry segment, including Commercial Print, Publishing, Promotional Communications, Labels and Packaging, Interior Décor, and Inhouse and CAD printing. The exhibition will also feature live applications reflecting the work mix of customers in these segments.

 

Canon will emphasize sustainability throughout the exhibition, with environmental data displayed for all solutions and substrates. Visitors will be able to explore various strategies for sustainable growth and collaboration activities driving innovation in the industry.

 

Canon is expanding its printing portfolio with several innovative products. The LabelStream LS2000 is a new inkjet label press designed for reliable, high-quality label production at 40m/min, featuring water-based inks for food safety compliance. Available in early 2025, the LS2000 will be showcased at drupa 2024. Canon’s varioPRINT iX1700 is a new B3 sheetfed inkjet press offering high productivity and consistent quality at 170 A4 images per minute, set to launch in 2025. The ProStream 2000 series of high-speed web-fed inkjet printers, including the flagship model ProStream 3160, is aimed at the commercial print and business communications markets, offering high-quality applications and energy efficiency. Canon’s ColorStream 8110 and ColorStream 8200 expand the high-speed web-fed inkjet press lineup, emphasizing productivity and print quality on various paper types. The Arizona 2300 series now features FLXflow technology for enhanced productivity and ease of use, alongside PRISMAelevate XL for elevated print applications. Canon’s new imagePROGRAF PRO series delivers exceptional photo print quality and durability, while the imagePROGRAF GP series targets the premium poster market with vibrant colours and smooth reproduction.
