Emirates Biotech will exhibit at Saudi Plastics & Petrochem 2026, which will be held from 21–24 June at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The company will take part in the UAE Pavilion and present its Embio PLA biopolymers to visitors. The event will also serve as the company’s formal introduction of the Embio PLA portfolio to the Saudi market.
Emirates Biotech said the materials are used in applications including packaging, food service ware, consumer goods, 3D printing and other products.
François de Bie, chief commercial officer of Emirates Biotech, said Saudi Arabia is a fast-growing market for sustainable materials and that PLA can support the country’s Vision 2030 sustainability goals.
The company’s regional sales team will be present at the exhibition to discuss the Embio PLA range and its availability in the Middle East.
Hashim Alfulful recently joined Emirates Biotech as sales development manager for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait. He said the company’s presence in Saudi Arabia would help it work more closely with customers evaluating PLA materials.
Prashant Lohade, sales development manager for the UAE, Oman and India, said PLA biopolymers offer a reduced carbon footprint and are recyclable and biodegradable. He added that PLA does not leave microplastics in the environment. Emirates Biotech will exhibit at Stand #2-142 in the UAE Pavilion.
