ePS launches CommandCore platform for packaging operations integration

ePS (eProductivity Software) has announced the launch of CommandCore™, a unified operational platform designed for packaging manufacturers to address challenges associated with fragmented systems across production, planning, quality, and sustainability functions.

Packaging manufacturers often operate core processes, including ERP, manufacturing execution, scheduling, quality, and sustainability, across disconnected systems. According to the company, such environments can limit real-time visibility, affect profitability tracking, and complicate responses to regulatory and customer requirements.

CommandCore is structured to integrate these functions into a single platform with a shared database. The system brings together eight operational pillars: ERP, manufacturing execution (MES), control systems, operational workflows, scheduling, quality and compliance, sustainability, and supply chain management. Data flows across these functions in real time, from estimation through production and accounting.

“For decades, packaging manufacturers have achieved operational excellence despite their software solutions, not because of it,” said Doug Braun, CEO at ePS. “They’ve been told fragmentation is inevitable and modernization requires compromise. CommandCore was built to challenge that assumption.”

The platform incorporates packaging-specific functionality, including substrate management, makeready processes, waste considerations, finishing operations, and sustainability reporting requirements. This approach is intended to align system workflows with industry-specific production environments.

“Our customers don’t manage integrations, they manage their business,” Braun added. “With CommandCore, they make better decisions at every level of their operation.”

CommandCore also supports modular deployment, allowing manufacturers to implement selected functions based on operational priorities while maintaining a unified system structure.

“Our platform was designed around packaging-native features, and the modular nature was part of that thought process,” said Craig Tait, CPO at ePS. “It provides manufacturers and converters the flexibility to achieve operational excellence in their current and future state.”

“Unified doesn’t mean all at once,” Tait added, “each company has their own timeline, and now, we can truly help throughout their journey.”
