FUJIFILM Middle East has outlined plans to expand its Office Printing business across the Middle East, with a focus on secure and sustainable document infrastructure for enterprise customers.
While the announcement is centred on office printing rather than packaging production, the development is relevant to the wider print and packaging ecosystem as converters, suppliers and brand owners increasingly depend on secure document workflows, compliance records, approvals, traceability systems and controlled business communication across regional operations.
The company said the business will focus on enterprise-grade document workflows that integrate printing, scanning and document management, with priority attention on the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Expansion into additional markets is planned in phases, depending on customer demand and regional development priorities.
The move reflects Fujifilm’s broader shift beyond its traditional imaging heritage into workplace infrastructure and business process support. For packaging-related businesses, such systems can support administrative and operational functions linked to quality documentation, customer communication, procurement records, artwork approvals, internal reporting and regulatory paperwork.
Security and governance are central to the strategy, with the company pointing to the need for access control, traceability and auditability as information moves across physical and digital environments. Fujifilm said its Office Printing platforms are intended to operate as part of a wider information lifecycle rather than as standalone print devices.
Sustainability has also been identified as part of the regional approach, with the company highlighting energy efficiency, lower power consumption, lifecycle management and the use of recycled and bio-based materials in its office printing solutions.
The expansion is supported by partnerships with Gulf Commercial Group Company, including Managed Print Services Company in the UAE, Gulf Business Solutions in Saudi Arabia and CNS in Oman, as well as PACKPRO in Egypt. These partnerships will support deployment and service requirements for organisations operating across multiple sites in the region.
Kazuhiko Kiji, Division Manager, FUJIFILM Middle East & Africa, said enterprises in the region are operating in environments where security, sustainability and continuity are increasingly connected, adding that the Office Printing division has a central role in the company’s regional strategy.
